In 2014/15 the percentage of half days missed due to authorised absences was 5.08%.The percentage of half days missed due to unauthorised absences was 1.04%. Authorised absences include pupils who have been ill due to medical reasons whilst unauthorised absences are children who have not attended school and for whom parents have not provided a satisfactory reason. In accordance with Local Authority policy fixed penalty notices will be issued if there is regular unauthorised absence.
