Cymraeg Campus

The Cymraeg Campus Language Charter by ERW Welsh in Education Officers and is the first charter specifically created to develop Welsh in English medium schools. The charter consists of  three awards- brone (efydd), silver (arian) and gold (Aur). Schools attempt to complete these awards over a period of time. Each award comprises of ten targets and these targets become more challenging as you progress.

Here at Ysgol Rhostyllen we achieved our Bronze Cymraeg Campus award in 2019.

After a busy few years, we are now working towards achieving our silver award. We hope to achieve this prestigious award very soon and with the hard work of all pupils under the guidance of the fabulous Criw Cymraeg I’m sure we will!

We are using the language charter Cymraeg Campus to help us as we inspire our children to use their Welsh in all aspects of their lives.

How about using some Welsh phrases at home?
